What does HB stand for?

Often a pencil has HB on it. The H is for ‘hardness’ and B is for ‘blackness’ according to the European grading system for pencils. Thus the standard writing pencil is graded HB.

Interestingly, the world's best and most expensive yellow pencils are believed to be the Koh-i-noor brand, named after the famous Indian diamond (meaning Mountain of Light) by an Austria-Hungary company.
For us, as a design house, it all begins with the basics – the pencil, the sketch, the doodle… the reason for the visual communication once we take on a project.

We believe in the basics and keeping things simple. Scribbles are sacrosanct and our creative team has perfected that to an art. We may even make a book out of our scribbles!
